Tatra banka Cinema at Art Film Fest again

The 17th June is precisely the right time for the start of a cultural week. This year's Art Film Fest, which occupies its traditional place in Trenčianske Teplice and the City of Trenčín, will present visitors with some 194 international productions. The five-member panel of judges will be chaired by film director Juraj Jakubisko.

Tatra banka once again welcomes Art Film Fest visitors to its Tatra banka Cinema also this year. On Saturday the venue will screen the Slovak film Dom (The House) from Zuzana Liova, which met with great success at the Berlinale festival. The screening of the film at Art Film Fest will be a prepremiere. On Sunday you can enjoy the classic film from 1991 from director Ján Svěrák - Obecná škola (Village school). Then on Saturday 25th June you can catch the fresh work from Václav Havel, Odcházení (2011) at the Tatra banka Cinema.

The 19th year of the festival also incorporates nine unique works from Cannes, and so audiences have the chance to view the exclusive premieres of the films in Slovakia. One of them, for example, is the winner of the Golden Palm award, The Tree of Life, from Terrenca Malick, starring Bradd Pitt and Sean Penn in the leading roles.
