Tatra banka´s Prize for the Best Thesis

The many-year activities of Tatra banka in support of education of academic specialists, and its co-operation with the Department of Informatics of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Slovak Technical University are confirmed by the Tatra banka´s Prize awarding ceremony for the best Thesis in software engineering. This project has been going on for 5 successful years. The prestigious prize is connected with a financial reward of SKK 50,000 (EUR 1,659.70)¹ for the winning student and his/her tutors, as well as awarding a memorial certificate. Tatra banka, as a long-term leader in using modern information technologies, is naturally interested in supporting and improving the educational level of the graduates from the Slovak Technical University, because more and more young gifted engineers come to work to the bank from that academic area. Our bank is willing to provide financial support to those gifted students at start of their professional career.

Faculty of Arts of the Comenius University in Bratislava - Studia Academica Slovaca

The Comenius University in Bratislava, Faculty of Arts has been organizing, since 1965, the Summer School of Slovak language and culture named Studia Academica Slovaca, which is the oldest summer language school in Slovakia. It is determined for foreign students of Slavonic studies, Slovak studies, and others who are interested in our language and culture. The participants include mainly undergraduates, young research workers, and advanced students in Doctor´s program studying Slovak or Slavonic studies at foreign universities, and also journalists, writers, translators, etc. The aim of the course is to obtain or improve the communication competence in the Slovak language and to gain more information on the Slovak linguistics, literature and culture. It is a unique educational project in Slovakia, and therefore, Tatra banka decided to support it by the amount of SKK 50,000 (EUR 1,659.70)¹.
