To switch on and use the chip payment card reader, it is necessary to insert the chip payment card into the reader. You can change the language to English by pressing the ENG button.

After ZVOĽTE FUNKCIU (Select Function) appears on the screen you can directly continue with the KÓD (Code) or PLATBA (Payment) function or select these and other functions via the Menu button.

° MENU button
By pressing the MENU button you can access the functions of the reader. To select a function from the menu, press OK after the required function is displayed. Via the MENU you can select the functions which also have separate buttons /KÓD, (OTP, Code), PLATBA (Payment)/ and also the function for multiple payment order for multiple payment execution authorisation with no separate button.

° KÓD (Code) button
By pressing the KÓD button, a unique single password used e.g. for logging into the Internet Banking will be generated.

• After inserting the chip payment card into the reader, press KÓD
• After the prompt PIN? appears on the display, enter your PIN code to your chip payment card 
• Press OK 
• If you have entered your PIN code correctly, a numeric code (single password) will appear
• Enter the displayed numeric code without spaces into the Internet Banking to confirm the processed transaction

KÓD functionality is accessible also via MENU button. Press MENU several times until OTP/Kód is displayed and confirm the selection by pressing OK.

° PLATBA (Payment) button
PLATBA button is used to confirm transactions and simple payment orders.

• After inserting the chip payment card into the reader, press PLATBA
• After the prompt PIN? appears on the display, enter your PIN code to your chip payment card
• Press OK
• If you have entered your PIN code correctly, the reader will prompt you with Suma? (Amount?) Now enter the amount you have entered in the payment order (only whole numbers without decimal places are to be entered, e.g. 476.22 will be entered as 476)
• Press OK
• After the prompt Účet Príjemcu (Benef . account?) pops up, enter the account number of the beneficiary from your payment order without the account prefix and the bank code (max 10 digits)
• Press OK
• After confirming the account number, a numeric code will appear on the reader display. Enter the code without spaces into the Internet Banking to confirm the processed transaction. 

PLATBA functionality is accessible also via MENU button. Press MENU several times until Payment/Platba is displayed and confirm the selection by pressing OK.

° BatchPayment function (Multiple Payment) - is a function available as the third in order when repeatedly pressing the MENU button. This function is used to confirm multiple payment orders.

• After inserting the chip payment card into the reader, press MENU three times to find the BatchPayment function
• After the prompt PIN? appears on the display, enter your PIN code to your chip payment card
• Press OK
• If you have entered your PIN code correctly, the reader will prompt you with Suma? (Amount?). Now enter the amount that is a total of the payment orders you placed (only whole numbers without decimal places are to be entered, e.g. 476.22 will be entered as 476)
• Press OK
• After the prompt Na účet 1? (ToAccount1?) pops up, enter the account number of the first beneficiary from your payment order without the account prefix and the bank code (max 10 digits)
• Press OK
• After the prompt Na účet 2/OK?/ To Account2 OK?) pops up, enter the account number of the second beneficiary from your payment order without the account prefix and the bank code and press OK
• After the prompt Na účet 3?/OK - Na účet 9?/OK (To Account 3? - To Account 9?OK) pops up, enter the account number of the respective beneficiary and press OK. After entering the account number of the last beneficiary from your payment order, simply press OK when prompted to enter another account number
• After confirming the account numbers, a numeric code will appear on the reader display. Enter it without spaces into the Internet Banking to confirm the processed transaction. 

° Signature function (Sign) - function available after repeatedly pressing MENU as the fifth in order. It serves for additional verification after logging into the Internet Banking. Additional verification is displayed only with some loggings, if you try to log into under different than usual conditions.

• After inserting the card into the chip payment card reader press MENU and choose Signature function
• Press OK
• After the prompt Výzva? (Prompt) pops up on the display, enter eight digits displayed on your Internet Banking screen in the reader
• Press OK
• After prompt PIN pops up on display, enter your PIN code to your chip payment card
• Press OK
• After confirming the account numbers, a numeric code will appear on the reader display. Enter it without spaces into the Internet Banking to confirm the processed transaction.

Other reader buttons:
°green button OK - serves to confirm data displayed on the reader
°yellow button ENG - when pressing this button in the main menu (after inserting a card into the reader) the reader switches into the English language. In other cases this button is used to delete incorrect data you have entered into the reader and now want to delete.
°red button STOP - serves to cancel the operation being currently performed and to return to the main menu

TDS function contained in the chip payment card does not cover any functionality so far but it is probable it will be used in the future. We will inform you of its potential use in time.

Provided you insert the card into the reader incorrectly or your card does not have the required chip functionality, Chyba karty/ Card error will be displayed on the reader.

Important warnings:

Do not unreasonably press the reader buttons and confirm them with a PIN code since you may desynchronize your chip payment card and thus disable the use of this authentication tool in the Internet Banking.

Make sure to enter the PIN correctly. Warning: Incorrect PIN code entered 5 times consecutively will block your chip payment card!
In case you leave your payment card in the reader, it will automatically switch off after a short moment of inactivity. After pressing MENU  the reader will switch on again.

For security reasons we recommend taking your payment card out of the reader after you finish the transaction. Moreover, you save its battery.
If you press and hold MENU for a few seconds, the reader will automatically switch off.
