b-mail

In October 1999, Tatra banka was awarded a prestigious prize in the annual ceremony of granting the Technology for Retail Banking Excellence Awards, from the worldwide renowned Banking Technology magazine. Tatra banka received the award for the b-mail service which won the Best Online Bank Product of the Year category.

b-mail enables to generate messages according to the criteria defined by the client, and send them:

  • In the form of SMS message to your GSM mobile phone - b-mail in the form of SMS message
  • In the form of electronic mail message - b-mail in the form of e-mail
  • In the form of encoded e-mail - PGP b-mail

b-mail in the form of SMS message

Possibilities to define the criteria for generating a message:

1. Every day, the morning balances on the account

2. Overdraft/fall of the level of the balance available on the account

In practice it means that the client shall receive the information in the event of exceeding (falling below) the limit of the available balance on the account above (below) the determined limit (e.g. 331,94 EUR). More than 1 limit may be given.

3. Credits and debits (movements) on the account

These are normal operations except for closing the central banking system. It is possible to obtain the information on each movement on your account, based on the determined value of funds. Upon completion of a financial operation on your account, which exceeds the determined value, information to this effect is sent shortly afterwards (to your mobile phone via SMS or as an electronic mail message).
Note: Due to technical reasons, no messages are sent in respect of those movements which are generated by the central banking system itself. These include mainly charges, repayment of loans, interests.

4. Failed Payment Advice

This service will automatically send you a notice on any non-realised payment placed in a branch, or via the DIALOG or Internet banking in respect of:
- local simple or collective order for transfer
- foreign order for transfer
- standing payment order
- collection 
- in creating the i:deposit

5. Notification of future SEPA direct debit

This service will automatically send you a notice on any simple SEPA direct debit payment or on any first payment of repetitive SEPA direct debit before accounting.


Information on credit card

The b-mail to credit card service delivers regular overview of credit card transactions.

a) the holder of credit card may activate sending information on transactions realised by means of the holder's credit card
b) the holder of basic private credit card may activate:

  • sending information on realised transactions - the holder shall thus automatically get overview on transactions realised by means of all credit cards issued to one card account
  • sending information on due sum payment realisation upon credit card statement

c) the holder of credit card shall at the same time automatically receive also the information on current available balance on credit card.

A holder of several credit cards shall activate the b-mail to credit card service separately for each card.

Each of the above four options or all four of them may be defined upon subscribing to the Internet banking or via the DIALOG service.

  •  opening the service - b-mail is a supplementary electronic service. In order to activate it, you should have defined one of the main services: Internet banking or DIALOG. Afterwards, you may define the b-mail service directly via the Internet banking in the b-mail file, or via our NON STOP DIALOG call service (02/6866 1000, 02/5919 1000, 0903/903 902, 0906/011 000, 0850/111 100 for no-Bratislava clients).
