Technical Information on Internet Banking

Inbank payments may be made
non-stop, but during the technical break of approx. 30 minutes, on Saturday for 1.5 hour, on business days usually from 9:30 pm to 10:30 pm, and on Saturday from 9:30 pm to 11:30 pm movements, b-mail are temporarily inaccessible, the balances on accounts are informative and payment orders are processed with the date of the next following day.

Interbank payments (payments to all banks in the Slovak Republic other than Tatra banka) may be made

Monday-Thursday - nonstop, but after approx. 9:00 pm, interbank payment orders are processed with the date of the next following business day

Friday - nonstop, but after approx. 9:00 pm, interbank payment orders will be processed with the date of the next following business day, i.e. mostly on Monday

Saturday, Sunday - nonstop, but will be processed with the date of the next following business day, mostly on Monday

Any payment order placed via the Internet banking service, with a due date later than the date of placement thereof (i.e. a later date than the current date in the system) shall be realised by the bank in the early morning hours of the relevant due date. Considering confirmation of payment repetition due to insufficient means on account on the relevant accounting date, the system persistently tries to realise the payment in the mornig and afternoon hours of the accounting day.

On Sunday and holiday, the system works with the date of the next following banking business day, and due to this reason payments are realised also on such dates with the due date according to the client´s instruction /Monday-Saturday, except for holidays/.

Standing Orders an Direct Debit

Standing orders and Direct debit are temporarily inaccessible on business days and on Saturday between approx. 9:00 pm and 4:00 am.

Version of Browser

In order to use the Internet Banking you need:

  • Netscape Communicator (Navigator) 6.X (or higher version)
  • or Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 (or higher version)

Browser should meet the following conditions:

    - SSL (SSL 3.0) protocol support with 128-bit encryption
    - JavaScript support (registration screen check in form of alert: "Use of Internet banking services requires permitted JavaScript".)
    - other (support: XHTML, HTML, CSS...)


Recommendation: Don't use test, i.e. beta versions of browsers.

 

How to find out browser version and cipher strength?

  • English language version: item of the menu Help - About Internet Explorer (or About Navigator)
  • Slovak (Czech) language version: Pomocník (Nápoveda) - O aplikácii Internet explorer


Version is determined in the "version" item.

Cipher strength is determined in the "Cipher Strength" item.

How to obtain an updated version of the browser?
You may copy it free-of-charge from the Microsoft or Netscape pages.

Network and Security Settings
The Internet Banking is accessible solely via the SSL protocol. The SSL protocol does not use the TCP port 80 but the TCP port 443, and therefore make sure that your proxy server (firewall) allows the use of this port.
