Virtual VISA Card
WHAT IS THE VIRTUAL VISA CREDIT CARD?
- a fictional international credit card - meaning that you will not obtain any plastic card from the bank, only a security envelope with the number and the term of validity of your virtual card
- you will not receive any PIN-code to your virtual card
- it is intended for individuals only
- it is used to buy goods and services without cash solely via the internet for transactions of the "e-commerce" type with those business partners which accept the VISA cash card
- it is means of payment, thanks to which you may buy in the virtual environment without using your classic plastic card
- the virtual card cannot be used for payment in point-of-sale terminals in the real environment or for any cash withdrawals
- in addition to the number and term of validity of your virtual card, you will find in the security envelope also a 3-digit control number "CVV2". Please disclose this number in making your purchases in the internet environment only upon a relevant merchant´s request.
CREDIT LINE OF THE VIRTUAL VISA CREDIT CARD
- credit line: between 300 EUR and 3500 EUR

*Monthly payment with maturity period of 12 months specified herein serves for calculation of annual percentage rate only.
**Total amount the client will have to pay is calculated upon monthly repayment in the amount of determined minimum credit card payment, i.e. 5 % from total non-paid delinquent sum including interests and monthly charge, however EUR 15 minimum.
HOW CAN YOU OBTAIN THE VIRTUAL CARD ?
- If you are a holder of the private VISA credit card issued by Tatra banka, we offer you a virtual credit card as a supplementary card, without necessity of any further evidence supporting your income.
- If you are not a holder of a private VISA credit card, in filing the application for the card, you may at the same time apply for the virtual card as a supplementary card.
If you are interested solely in making transactions via the internet, apply for the virtual VISA credit card as the main card. In such case, the bank will require you to meet the conditions for issuance of the private credit card.
CONDITIONS FOR ISSUANCE OF THE VIRTUAL CREDIT CARD:
The bank will issue a virtual credit card solely as a private card:
1. MAIN CARD
CONDITIONS FOR ISSUANCE OF THE VIRTUAL CREDIT CARD:
- permanent residence on the territory of the Slovak Republic
- age between 18 and 65 years on the date of filing the application
- proving by documents the solvency and continuing employment minimum for the period of 3 months, confirmed by the employer
- A natural person-entrepreneur must prove existence of the trade license for performing business in the Slovak Republic minimum for the period of 2 years and solvency by a confirmation of incomes from business activities for the last year, confirmed by the relevant institutions
2. ADDITIONAL CARD - to the main private VISA credit card (standard or gold) or to the main virtual VISA credit card - terms of issuance
a. a consent of the main private VISA credit card holder or the virtual VISA credit card holder
b. age - minimum 15 years
HOW TO USE THE VIRTUAL CARD ?
- make sure that the merchant (the business partner´s web site) where you wish to buy accepts payments by the VISA cash card - i.e. whether the merchant´s site shows the VISA logo:
- order and buy the goods and services only from well-known and reputable merchants which are known or recommended to you by the bank having issued your cash card
- prior to disclosing the information on your card, always make sure that the information on your card are transmitted by a secure channel (e.g. SSL or SET protocol)
- identification of the internet address beginning with https (letter "s" in the end)
- a padlock in the in the right bottom of the web browser - you may find out whether the security is genuine if you hold on the cursor and see the description of the applied security key
- look for the information on encoding and transmitting the data of the relevant merchant on its web site and unless you find such information, print out the order form and send it by telefax as a written order
- before ordering the goods or service, remember to carefully read the complete commercial terms and conditions, the information on standing orders, and write down the merchant´s e-mail address for the case of cancelling your advance payment
- if you have any other questions, see on our page the contact information on the Customer Service (phone numbers, and/or e-mail address and/or mail address;
- never disclose any confidential information (e.g. your birthdate) in making purchases via the Internet. If possible, deliver the information about the web site, where you must enter your PIN-code to your card or any other confidential information, to the bank having issued your cash card, with a printed page "print screen";
- in making on-line purchases, you are recommended to print out and keep the order form for the case of any additional requirements or complaints in respect of the purchased goods or service
- share your knowledge and information on the web sites which you find suspicious with the bank having issued your cash card
- never trust any announcement such as Free Homepage or Free Membership
- if you have ordered goods or services via your virtual VISA credit card, with annual or regular advance payment, remember to elect an alternative form of payment in cancellation thereof
- ask the merchant to confirm your order and keep it in your records. It will serve you in the event you wish to return or replace the goods. The confirmation should contain the URL (merchant´s Internet address) and the confirmation number of your order or e-mail confirmation, stating the quantity and price of the ordered goods.
- remember that your card is determined solely for purchases made via the Internet; and therefore never disclose the information on your card for any purpose whatsoever
- your virtual card will work only provided the merchant chosen by you accepts payments by VISA cards, and is also able to correctly identify the type of payment as "e-commerce". If the merchant fails to meet this technical requirement, the transaction with your virtual card will be denied.
- by checking the information on transactions shown in your statement, you may keep track not only of your expenses, but you may reconcile them with the bills in your records. Prior to reporting a complaint regarding the transaction shown in your statement to the bank having issued your card, please make sure that it had never been realised by you.
- You are recommended to observe all above security precautions even in the event of use of your virtual card.

SSL will automatically encrypt your order with all disclosed information prior to dispatching it to the merchant, and thus will secure the privacy and integrity of your order. By profound learning of the terms and conditions set forth on the merchant´s page, you may avoid any inconvenient surprise of any additional costs and fees to be charged by the merchant. It is useful to read the terms of delivery (charges) and the options of returning the goods and replacement thereof.
Never disclose any information on your account, password, PIN-code and any other confidential information which are not secured in your computer. Treat the information provided via the Internet carefully and prudently as if it were money in cash.

PAYMENT OF THE OUTSTANDING AMOUNT
Payment of the card expenses is made by the holder of the total credit line in the manner set forth in the application for issuance of the VISA credit card (bank transfer, cash deposit or in the form of collecting money).
The holder of the total credit line of the private virtual VISA card remits payment to the account number 2002005736 with Tatra banka. The payment may be identified by the bank by its variable symbol, so the symbol must be stated in each payment. The variable symbol is fixed and consists of the last 10 digits of the main card issued as the first one (not the replaced or renewed card). The closing dates and due dates determined by the bank for the cycle 1 and 2 are set forth in the Closing Dates Schedule, which you may find in the end of this page.
