Transition to EURO

Concerning the expected migration to the EURO currency from January 1, 2009 Tatra banka is undertaking all necessary steps in order to ensure trouble-free and smooth process also in the area of the acceptance of payment cards via payment terminals.

Therefore the software, which is currently being installed in new payment terminals will fully support transactions in the new currency from January 1, 2009. At the same time the software will be updated in the course of 2008 also in all payment terminals originally installed with business partners with an older software version.

Transition to the new currency will thereby be completely comfortable for business partners in the area of payment card acceptance as well.

• you can eliminate the risks linked with cash handling, such as the mistake of staff, false paper-money etc.
• according to the survey the customer paying by a credit card is willing to spend more money by the purchase than the customer paying in cash
• accepting credit cards represents today an extra service for the customers and supports greater comfort of shopping
