Tatra banka Invests in Leading Private Equity Fund to Strengthen Growth and Innovation in Slovakia

Tatra banka is expanding its Private Equity activities through its third major transaction. This time, it is an investment into the Genesis Private Equity Fund V (GPEF V), part of renowned private equity group Genesis Capital, based in Czech Republic. This investment is part of the bank’s long-term strategy to support companies and projects with high growth potential in Slovakia and Central European region.

Tatra banka’s ambition is to continuously support the growth of Slovak Economy, via promoting innovative and ambitious projects. This year, the bank will carry out its third Private Equity investment, in collaboration with Genesis Capital. The Company belongs to one of the most respected Private Equity Fund Managers in the region, with over 25 years of history and a track record from more than 90 successful investments. The Genesis Private Equity Fund V will focus on investments in promising companies in the B2B services sector, light and medium manufacturing, IT services, and specialized retail.

Genesis Capital is known for its active ownership approach to its investments, putting emphasis on partnership with management teams, and its ability to transform local leaders into regional brands.
