Pension calculator
Our pension calculator gives you an estimate of your monthly income from Pillars I, II and III. Find out whether it may be enough to maintain the standard of living you’re used to.
*The pension calculator is based on a model developed by experts at Matej Bel University. TB and UMB launched the first three-pillar calculator back in 2020.
The pension calculator shows your monthly pension adjusted for inflation—that is, what your future pension will be worth in today’s prices. Since prices for goods and services rise over time by an average of 2% a year, the same amount will probably buy you less in the future than it does today.

Frequently asked questions
The pension calculator provides an indicative estimate of your future retirement income, not a binding calculation of your pension benefit. The actual amount of your pension will depend on your future income, the length of your pension insurance period, changes in legislation, investment returns on your savings, and other economic and demographic factors.
The Social Insurance Agency will determine the exact amount of your old-age pension once you meet the legal requirements and submit an application.
The calculator estimates your income from all three pillars of the Slovak pension system:
- Pillar I pension paid by the Social Insurance Agency;
- Pillar II pension, if you are a saver in the system;
- Pillar III savings, including your own contributions, employer contributions and expected investment returns.
This gives you a more comprehensive picture than a calculator that estimates only your pension from the Social Insurance Agency.
To calculate your estimate, you’ll need to enter your year of birth, gender, education and gross monthly income. If you’re saving in Pillar II or III, you can make the estimate more accurate by entering the year you joined, your current savings, monthly contributions and pension fund.
The more accurate the information you provide, the more closely the result may reflect your situation.
The pension calculator uses the current calculation model and available data as of its latest update. Since the pension system, retirement age and economic assumptions may change, the result should be treated as an indicative forecast.
